On a beautiful autumn day in mid-September, the knitter was staying at the luxurious Hotel Rangá, which, as the name suggests, is located in Rangárvallasýsla.
The stay began after lunch on Saturday, and the first attempt was to knit while sitting indoors. Many good spots were found, as there were comfortable chairs throughout the building.

This charming basket chair was well-placed, and it seemed ideal to give it a try.
It was decent for knitting but lacked back support. Of course, one could have moved further inside and crossed their legs, but it didn’t quite work out.
On Sunday morning, following breakfast and a delightful stay in one of the hot pots outside, in a glorious sunshine, the bench in front of the room was to be tested as a knitting bench.

The wonderful view didn’t detract from the experience, and the bench turned out to be quite satisfactory. At least, a few rounds of knitting were completed, and it was actually a bit difficult to say goodbye to the bench when it was time to head home.
But all good things must come to an end. However, it is now clear that no one needs to leave Hotel Rangá without having done some knitting.
